About Omar Hegazi

Omar Hegazi is an Italian attorney based in Bergamo, with more than twenty years of experience in international law, private client services, and family office advisory. He advises individuals and families navigating complex cross‑border legal matters, with a particular focus on American citizens living in or relocating to Italy.

Omar began his legal career in 2002 at a leading international law firm, where he developed a strong foundation in global legal frameworks. He later founded his own boutique practice, offering highly tailored legal counsel. His work has evolved from immigration and international criminal law into a comprehensive private‑client and family‑office practice serving clients worldwide.

International Leadership & Appointments

Omar has held numerous leadership and advisory roles within the international legal community, including:

• American Bar Association (ABA): Co‑Chair, International Private Client Commission, Section of International Law (2026–2027)

• United Nations: Delegate for the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and the ABA since 2022, serving within the UNCITRAL Commission in New York and Vienna

• New York State Bar Association (NYSBA): Delegate, International Law Section; former President, NYSBA Italy Chapter

It is tailored for Americans and Italian‑Americans, including second‑ and third‑generation descendants, as well as anyone considering Italy as a long‑term plan, a second home, or a future relocation destination.

Drawing on his extensive international experience, Omar will provide clear insight into Italian bureaucracy and legal processes, helping participants better understand how to navigate them with confidence.
